Author Biography
Laura Alcoba (1968) vivió hasta los diez años en Argentina, cuando su familia se trasladó a París huyendo de la dictadura. Allí se licenció en Letras y, tras ejercer de editora y traductora, actualmente es profesora en la Universidad de París X Nanterre. Su primera y celebradísima novela, La casa de los conejos, que fue publicada originalmente en Francia por Gallimard en 2007, ha sido traducida a múltiples idiomas y sigue teniendo un impacto profundo en miles de lectores. Más tarde, en 2013, aparecería El azul de las abejas (finalista del Premio Médicis y del Premio Femina), que, inspirándose en la correspondencia con su padre, preso en Argentina, narra su exilio en Francia junto al resto de su familia. La danza de la araña (ganadora del Premio Marcel Pagnol), de 2017, cerró este emocionante ciclo que Alfaguara publicó en 2021 en un solo volumen titulado Trilogía de la casa de los conejos y con el que Laura Alcoba se ha asegurado un puesto único en la literatura latinoamericana. A través del bosque (Alfaguara, 2023) es su última novela.
