Robert has written several inspirational and/or educational photography books including: Photographing Hawaii: Capturing the Beauty and Spirit of the Islands, published by Island Heritage Publishing, Hawaii Inspiration Afire: A Passion for the Magnificent and Light on Hawaii: Capturing the Dynamic Islandscape A Photographers Approach. Robert, who resides in Volcano village, right outside Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, has spent untold hours throughout the park - exploring tropical rainforest lushness, vast barren lava fields, viewing Halema'uma'u Crater, hiking the rugged Kau wilderness. As well as, the extraordinary and distinctive Puna coastline, and seeking out the best and most photogenic, grand and intimate photo locations.
