Author Biography

Bobbie J. Gallagher, BCBA is a mother of three children, two of whom have autism. Bobbie has worked with individuals with autism and other disabilities for over twenty years, opening her private practice ten years ago. Her personal experiences drove her to continue her education. She received her BA in communication studies from Monmouth University, her master's in special education from New Jersey City University, completed her coursework for the BCBA certification through Florida Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing her PhD in ABA through the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Bobbie is an established national-level public speaker on topics involving autism, developmental disabilities, and sexuality for individuals with disabilities. She and her husband were both involved in the efforts leading to national legislation such as the Autism ASSURE Act and the Autism CARES Act. Bobbie has been honored in Washington, DC, for her advocacy.
